General files include minutes and documents of the North Dakota Council of Academic Officers (1985-1988), report of NDSU Ad Hoc Laboratory & Chemical Safety Committee (1988), communication with State Board of Higher Education and Dean Joe Stanislao, files on university goals, Physics Dept. studies, three-year baccalaureate program and other topics, copies of studies on Cooperative Education at NDSU by Thomas D. McDonald (1987) and "Access to higher education in North Dakota" (1987) and others. The accreditation series contains self-studies, accreditation team reports and correspondence for numerous programs on campus. The NDSU-UND engineering schools merger study was conducted in 1974-1975 looking at the feasibility of such a merger, but the study was terminated. It includes extensive documentation files on the process. The proposed new programs contains formal proposals submitted to the State Board office. The salary studies contain a number of different studies done on this topic.
